I'm an engineer with an eye for design and knack for learning new technologies. I live in the Bay Area and work on the YouTube Living Room devices team at Google.

I build and design with the others in mind—whether they are users or other developers. The user interface and code should be clean and easy for people to follow. I aim to deliver a great experience for everyone.

"Programs must be written for people to read, and only incidentally for machines to execute."

My background is in Computer Science (BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and MS from Johns Hopkins, for those who care about these things). I've been building websites since age 14. They started out with simple PHP includes to copy the navigation links across multiple pages. I made Wordpress blogs for my teachers and fellow students and designed sites in Photoshop for small businesses. Now we have tools like Next.js and Figma—what a time to be alive!

I keep my coding skills and tooling knowledge current with personal projects and small business websites. I learn from the industry's best everyday, and I'm grateful to be at the intersection of doing work I enjoy, that I'm good at, and that society needs.

I'm also aware that computers and technology aren't everything, and I take time out for hobbies and leisure.

That problem is not solely how to be more productive, more comfortable, more content, but how to be more sensitive, more sensible, more proportionate, more alive.
